Seven may be the magic number for Nick Cannon. The talk show host recently revealed to Entertainment Tonight (ET) that he may not seek to have more children after welcoming three kids this year to bring his grand total of children to seven.
“I’m not sitting out here planning it,” Nick told ET. “My therapist says I should be celibate,” the celebrity father added. “Okay, give me a break, bus,” Cannon said. “I’m [gonna] take a break from having kids,” the entertainer declared.
Nick Cannon welcomed his seventh child with Wild ‘N Out model Alyssa Scott earlier this year. The celebrity’s son, Zen, arrived weeks after Nick welcomed twins, Zion and Zillion, with businesswoman Abby De La Rosa.
“I have several siblings, [and] being raised in an unorthodox family by my grandparents at times, I’ve experienced such a wide range of upbringing that I have such a love and passion for kids and family,” Nick revealed during his recent interview with ET. “I want a big family too,” the celebrity shared. “The Lord has blessed me with what I asked. Ask and you shall receive.”
Loyal supporters of Nick Cannon who have long asked for the celebrity to step into the world of daytime talk shows will soon receive their wish as Nick Cannon debuts on FOX on Monday (Sept. 27). Cannon has promised to bring something fresh to the field.
“[I’ve] never been a person that’s shied away from talking about my life,” the celebrity father said during his conversation with ET. “But I want to refocus it on others,” Cannon said in reference to the vibe of his upcoming talk show.
“I’m gonna be talking for an hour each and every day,” he said. “Hopefully, people get to know me in a very intimate way. If I’m in the headlines the night before, I’m definitely talking about it the next morning.”
