Shaniece Hairston is celebrating son Blaze as he turns 2.
The mom of one shared new photos of her little boy on Instagram and reflected on how much becoming his mother has changed her life.
“Special Happy Birthday to the one who taught me the power of a Mother’s love,” Shaniece wrote. “Blaze is pure light with the heart of a calm warrior.”
She continued, “At his age, he owns every room he walks into. I’ve never seen anything like it. Blaze is a gift on earth and it’s truly my greatest blessing that he’s chosen me as his Mother.”
Shaniece spoke just as strongly about the bond she shares with her son.
“I not only love my child, but I protect, respect and I honor him until my very last breath,” she wrote.
Her birthday message ended with a few simple words for Blaze.
“Happy Birthday Blaze! Keep blazin’ through. Mama is here every step of the way.”
Blaze’s grandmother, Evelyn Lozada, shared a birthday message of her own.
“To my sweet grandson Blaze, the one who changed my title to Grandma,” Evelyn wrote. “You bring me more joy than I ever imagined.”
She added, “I’ll always be your safe place, your biggest cheerleader and the one reminding you just how loved you are.”
“Being promoted from Mom to Grandma has been one of the greatest joys of my life,” Evelyn wrote. “Happy 2nd birthday, my sweet Blaze. Grandma loves you more than words could ever say.”
Blaze is Shaniece’s first child and her son with rapper The Game, whose real name is Jayceon Taylor. The pair welcomed him in September 2024.
Shaniece kept much of her pregnancy private and remained protective of Blaze after his birth. In 2024, she explained that she and The Game wanted time to enjoy their son before sharing too much of him publicly.
“We can’t hide him forever,” she said at the time, “but I don’t know—we just want to love on him and protect him.”
In addition to Blaze, The Game is also dad to sons Harlem and King Justice and daughter California “Cali” Dream from previous relationships.
