Safaree is broken over the possibility of not being able to see his kids. The celebrity father shared his pain with his lawyer during the most recent episode of Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta (LHHATL).
“I just feel like the respect is totally gone,” Safaree told viewers. “I don’t care how wrong somebody is, there’s just certain levels that shouldn’t be crossed,” the celebrity said. “Once they’re crossed, especially with me, it’s just hard to come back from it.”
Erica Mena filed to divorce her husband earlier this year after Safaree allegedly refused to support her throughout her second pregnancy. There was also the question of infidelity that came up in the marriage as Erica believed Safaree cheated on her while he was in Miami. Erica filed for divorce shortly before going into premature labor. Monday’s episode of LHHATL showed the aftermath of her decision.
“I just want to make sure that there’s no issues when it comes to seeing my daughter and the newborn,” Safaree told his lawyer during one segment of the show. “I just want it to be fair,” the celebrity father said. “I don’t know how it’s going to play out. These judges have not ever given men the benefit of the doubt to be in their children’s lives.”
Safaree could not hold back the tears as he considered the notion of having to struggle to be a part of his kids’ lives. “When I just think about my daughter’s face and how she makes me feel, I don’t want to have to be one of those people where I’ve got to beg to see my kids,” the celebrity father told LHHATL viewers. “I don’t want to have a spiteful divorce,” Safaree shared.
“Sometimes I just feel like when Erica’s upset that she has the potential to be very, very spiteful. I just don’t want her to start using our children as pawns.”
Erica Mena recently cleared the air about rumors of her preventing Safaree from spending time with his kids. “NEVER did I say or even think to not have him in the delivery room [when I was giving birth to our son],” Erica shared in a series of tweets last week. “Never been or will be the type to keep him from them,” the celebrity mom said.
