SAFAREE BLAMES ‘LHHATL’ EDITORS FOR SCENE OF HIM LAUGHING AT DAUGHTER’S TUMBLE

"We Told Y'all Not To Air My Baby Falling And Y'all Still Used It"

Is Safaree planning to leave the Love and Hip Hop (LHH) franchise? The ‘Run It Up’ rapper recently went on a Twitter rant about editing after receiving severe backlash from a segment in last week’s episode of Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta (LHHATL).

Safaree committed a cardinal sin by many social media users’ accounts when he seemingly laughed at his daughter, Safire Majesty, after she took a tumble in his studio. Safaree’s estranged wife, Erica Mena, was in the process of revealing the gender of their second child when Safire got tangled up with her father’s guitar. The little one fell on her back in a way that made many viewers believe Safire hit her head on the bare floor. Safaree chuckled at his daughter’s fall, which angered Erica during the scene.

“Safaree, pick her up, you freaking idiot,” Mena told her husband with irritation. “What’s your problem,” Erica asked. Safaree attempted to save face in the segment by telling his wife that their daughter was “fine.” The rapper’s laugh, however, turned out to be the sound heard around Twitter.

“So sad it’s not even funny at this point,” one critic said after declaring Safaree to have “no fatherly instincts.” Another social media user wrote, “This disturbs my spirit.”

Safaree did not take the scrutiny lightly. He instead responded on Twitter by lashing out at the Love and Hip Hop production team for editing the segment to appear as if he did not care about his daughter.

“Y’all LHH editors ain’t sh*t,” Safaree expressed in his series of tweets. “We told y’all not to air my baby falling and y’all still used it,” he added. “Had us reshoot a whole bunch of bullsh*t and y’all still used that. Y’all don’t have no respect.”

Safaree went on to threaten an exit from the franchise over the segment. “It’s definitely about to be a wrap on my time with y’all,” the recording artist declared. “Y’all be wanting too much of ppl (sic) time to be doin dat (sic) type of wack sh*t,” Safaree exclaimed. “We filmed an hr (sic) long convo for that scene and y’all chop it to 3 mins (sic) and use that and make it a focal point. Weak.”

Safire Majesty is Safaree and Erica Mena’s oldest child. The former couple also has a son named Legend together. You can catch Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta every Monday on VH1.
