NBA great LeBron James is currently in the NBA “bubble” playing the game he loves. However, he hasn’t completely enjoyed it since he misses his wife and kids.
LeBron James shares three children with his wife Savannah: 15-year-old LeBron “Bronny” James Jr., 13-year-old Bryce, and 5-year-old Zhuri James, and he misses them all dearly. “I miss the hell out of my family,” said LeBron on August 3. “My wife, my kids, my mother. And so on and so on. It’s a huge challenge.”
Even before the NBA restart began on July 30, LeBron James expressed how torn he was having to leave his family behind for the NBA’s restricted “bubble,” writing on Twitter: “Just left the crib to head to the bubble. S–t felt like I’m headed to do a bid man! Fr. Hated to leave the #JamesGang 👑.” While LeBron is away from home, his kids keep him there in spirit with hilarious impressions of him.
LeBron James is currently with his Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA’s restarted 2019-20 season, which was suspended for four months due to the coronavirus pandemic. 22 teams are currently playing eight games to determine the final Playoff spots. All the games and practices take place in the NBA’s “bubble” in Orlando, Florida, which is strictly regulated to guard against coronavirus. Unlike the WNBA, the NBA players aren’t allowed to bring their families into the bubble until the NBA Playoffs start in late August.
The Los Angeles Lakers hold the No. 1 seed in the NBA’s Western Conference and have won two of their last three games so far. The Lakers’ last game was a 116-108 victory against the Utah Jazz on August 3, which clinched the Western Conference’s No. 1 seed. LeBron James had a solid game with 22 points, 8 rebounds, and 9 assists. The Lakers’ next game is against the Oklahoma City Thunder on August 5.
