Not everyone sent Keke Wyatt and her husband, Zackariah Darring, positive vibes after learning of the couple’s unborn child having the genetic disorder Trisomy 13. The expectant recording artist took to Instagram on Wednesday (Mar. 16) to address her supporters and critics.
“I’d like to send a special prayer out for the rude, cruel people that took time out of their day to get on social media and make disparaging and morbid comments concerning my pregnancy,” Keke shared online. “This past weekend at my show I was very transparent with my amazing fans (who I see as family) about the status of my pregnancy,” Wyatt wrote in her Instagram post. “I explained to them, the day after my maternity photoshoot my husband and I received the news that our baby tested positive for Trisomy 13 per the doctor.”
“It was a moment that wasn’t planned during my show but at the end of the day, I felt in my spirit to share or encourage other women that might have to face this battle,” Keke said of her decision to share her testimony while singing a Gospel song. The recording artist was performing in an intimate setting at the time.
“For all of the disgusting people out there that are wishing ill on me and my baby. Say what y’all want about me, I’m used to it … No weapon formed against me will prosper anyway,” Keke said in reference to trolls who saw a snippet of the performance and decided to make disparaging remarks about Keke and her family. “An innocent unborn baby,” Wyatt asked in her statement posted on Instagram. “Be careful putting your mouth on people,” the recording artist warned. “I pray that God gives you grace when Life comes knocking on your front door and you won’t reap what you are sowing,” Wyatt said.
Keke went on to thank her fans for their support. “For all of the POSITIVE stories, emails, and support I’m getting THANK YOU,” the celebrity mom said in her social media post. “I will not let the negativity drain all of my positive energy,” Wyatt declared. “We will continue to believe the report of the Lord,” the celebrity mom said.
Keke Wyatt and Zackariah Darring are expecting their second child to arrive in the coming weeks. The little one will make Keke a mom for the eleventh time.
