Where has the time gone? Tyrese took to Instagram on Wednesday (May 25) to celebrate his oldest daughter Shayla Gibson’s graduation from 9th grade. Tyrese was not able to be physically present for Shayla’s graduation due to his work schedule.
The celebrity father, however, went all out to shed the spotlight on Shay’s accomplishment with a Rolls Royce car and other perks that met the youngster after her commencement ceremony.
He wrote on Instagram, “Broken hearted that I had to miss our angels 9th graduation but I did whatever it took to make sure my baby felt the love from here…….. Always the smartest and most incredible soul in the room congratulations to our angel SHAYLA [ Princess ] Gibson….. Daddy love you sooooooooo much!!!!! You did it baby!!!!”
Adding, “I feel horrible as a father that I missed this one-of-a-kind moment but it’s very very clear that my daughter felt all that love that I arranged from London,” Tyrese said. “Thank you Momma Norma for being there,” the actor wrote to his daughter’s mother. “Funny that you’re in my country and I’m in yours,” he mused. “Congratulations to our angel SHAYLA [Princess] Gibson. You did it, baby. You have made daddy sooooooo proud!”
Several of Tyrese’s supporters celebrated Shayla and her father in the comments section of his post. “One thing that no one will ever be able to take from you is how AMAZING you are as a father,” Tyrese’s girlfriend, Zelie Timothy, shared.
“I’m so PROUD of Shay,” Zelie continued. “Not only for how amazing she is as a young lady but also for her commitment to her school work and anything she puts her mind to. Thank you, Ty, for allowing me to be a part of watching her grow into the bright young woman she is. Ty, You’re doing just fine!”
Shayla Gibson is Tyrese’s only child with his first wife, Norma Mitchell. The celebrity father also has a daughter with his second wife, Samantha Lee.
