COCO AUSTIN RESPONDS TO STROLLER BACKLASH: ‘REALLY PEOPLE?’

"You'd Rather Mess With My Mothering?"

Coco Austin is firing back at those who scrutinized her for letting her and Ice-T’s 6-ear-old daughter, Chanel Nicole, sit in a stroller while vacationing in the Bahamas. The glamour model took to Twitter on Tuesday (May 24) with her complaints.

“Oh Lord,” Coco said in one tweet. “Really people,” she asked. “The world loves to criticize literally everything I do,” Austin exclaimed. The web personality further ranted in a separate tweet in which she advised her critics to focus on other current events.

“This stroller thing trending right now about me using a stroller to push Chanel around is ridiculous,” Coco exclaimed. “Isn’t there a war and mass shootings going as we speak,” she further inquired. “And you’d rather mess with my mothering?”

Coco Austin came under scrutiny this past weekend after sharing pictures from her and Ice-T’s trip to the Bahamas with their daughter. Critics focused on one candid in which Chanel Nicole was seated in a stroller while her parents did a bit of shopping and sightseeing. Coco explained in the caption section that her daughter only got excited about things that interested her, which is likely why Chanel appeared bored while sitting in the stroller. Still, the critics came for the glamour model in the comments section of the social media post.

“I know she may be your last baby but you have to let her grow up,” one Instagram follower said. “If anything a wagon is more her age,” the critic continued. “I have a 6-year-old smaller than her and she hasn’t been in a stroller in years. I would hate for your sweet baby to get bullied or something.”

Despite the scrutiny on Instagram, Coco Austin received lots of support from her Twitter fans this past Tuesday. “Girl people will complain about a light pole if you put clothes on it,” one supporter wrote in response to Austin’s tweet. “Ignore them,” the follower advised. “Heck, I wished my parents had done that when I was younger and I didn’t wanna (sic) walk or do anything during the summer.”
