Serena Williams and her daughter, Alexis Olympia, are capturing hearts with their viral videos. Recent clips show Alexis Olympia serving as her mom’s teacher.
“I teach her tennis … she teaches me piano,” Serena captioned underneath one video clip of little Alexis showing her mom the basics of good piano playing. The tennis star was attentive throughout the clip and even asked questions that her daughter answered with ease.
“This baby is only 4,” one fan said in reference to Alexis having the ability to teach her mom a few things about the piano at such a young age. “Watch out world,” the supporter declared.
Another clip showed Alexis Olympia cooking in the kitchen with her mom. “Olympia’s recipe for the win,” Serena told her social media fans. “This is cute,” Jennifer Hudson exclaimed. “I really admire both Serena and her hubby,” another fan said. “Very grounded folk!”
Alexis Olympia has been getting lots of time in on the tennis court as of late. The youngster’s aunt, however, believes there is a fashion element to the little one. Venus Williams recently joked about the notion of Alexis Olympia serving as the chair of Met Gala next year.
“She wears dresses all day every day, and insists on heels, so she’ll be here next year,” Venus recently said of her niece during an interview with Access Hollywood. “Next year she’ll probably be chair [of Met Gala],” the veteran tennis star mused.
Alexis Olympia turned 4-years-old last month. Her parents forewent an extravagant birthday party as Serena is a Jehovah’s Witness and, as such, does not celebrate birthdays. “Olympia doesn’t celebrate birthdays,” Serena said one year after her daughter’s birth. “We’re Jehovah’s Witnesses, so we don’t do that,” the celebrity mom said.
Williams was answering an inquiry about her plans to commemorate her daughter’s one-year milestone at the time. Although Serena and her husband, Alexis Ohanian Sr., have not explicitly given their daughter birthday parties, the couple has commemorated Alexis Olympia’s milestones with small family gatherings.
