Blue’s ‘Brown Skin Girl,’ which was created in collaboration with her mom, won a VMA in the best cinematography category. The honor was also shared with Wizkid and SAINt JHN who collaborated to produce the music video for the song. Benoit Soler, Malik H. Sayeed, MOHAMMAED ATTA AHMED, Santiago Gonzalez, and Ryan Helfant are the cinematographers for the video.

Blue Ivy’s nomination was chosen over Billie Ellish’s ‘Therefore I Am,’ the Foo Fighters’ ‘Shame Shame,’ and Justin Bieber’s ‘Holy.’ All three of the above artists topped the charts with their nominated songs.

Blue Ivy continues to make her mark in the music industry with her mom by her side. The youngster won a Grammy Award earlier this year for ‘Brown Skin Girl’ in the category of Best Music Video.

Beyonce has fans all over the world, yet chooses to maintain a reserved persona in the public. “Throughout my career, I’ve been intentional about setting boundaries between my stage persona and my personal life,” the iconic recording artist said during a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar.

“My family and friends often forget the side of me that is the beast in stilettos until they are watching me perform,” she added.

“It can be easy to lose yourself very quickly in this industry,” Beyonce further explained. “It takes your spirit and light, then spits you out,” she added. “Before I started, I decided that I’d only pursue this career if my self-worth was dependent on more than celebrity success. I’ve surrounded myself with honest people who I admire, who have their own lives and dreams and are not dependent on me. People I can grow and learn from and vice versa. In this business, so much of your life does not belong to you unless you fight for it. I’ve fought to protect my sanity and my privacy because the quality of my life depended on it.”

Beyonce and Jay-Z have three kids – Blue Ivy, Sir, and Rumi – together. The celebrity couple commemorated 13 years of marriage earlier this year.
