Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union are celebrating their seventh wedding anniversary with their kids. The celebrity couple took to social media to commemorate their union this past weekend.
“Ain’t No Stoppin’ Us Now,” Gabrielle told her Instagram followers. “Seven years and a lifetime to go,” the actress continued. “My best friend, the coolest homie, mentor and inspiration, my love, my husband. I love you @dwyanewade. Happy Anniversary, baby.”
Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade tied the matrimonial knot on August 30, 2014. The celebrities’ wedding day came several months of courtship that included Dwyane’s kids, Zaya and Zaire, falling in love with their future stepmom.
“It’s been a journey,” Union said during a 2014 interview. “It’s been a journey to boogers and flashcards and first heartbreaks and school dances,” the actress revealed. “[Dwyane and I] got this amazing gift at a second chance. He just asked me to commit to trying … and the trying led to doing the work,” Union said.
“[It] led to us thriving because of the work, which led to this amazing proposal where my family asked me to marry them,” the actress shared at the time. “When life gives you a new beginning, you take it and run with it.”
Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union spent their seventh wedding anniversary with their family and close friends in Paris. “Celebrating our 7th year anniversary in Paris with family and friends was a dream come true,” Dwyane told his social media fans on Tuesday (August 31). “We wanna thank everyone who took the time to come and share in our family’s love,” the celebrity father exclaimed.
“To our loved ones that couldn’t make it, we missed and love you guys,” the retired NBA player added. “To my wife @gabunion 🖤 Happy Anniversary baby and thanks for putting up with my s***🤬 I love loving you.”
