Ray J celebrated his fortieth birthday with his wife, Princess Love, and their kids, Epik Ray and Melody Love. The celebrity dad shared a video clip of him with his kids to commemorate his special day.

“God is the greatest,” Ray said in the clip, which was recorded last Saturday (Jan. 17). “Forget the clubs. Forget the yachts. Forget the parties. I’m with my kids for my birthday, and that’s all that matters to me,” Ray told his social media fans.

Princess also took to Instagram to give Ray J well wishes on his special day. “The BIG 4-0,” Princess shared underneath a candid that showed her and Ray with the kids. “Happy Birthday DADA,” the Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood (LHHH) star wrote online.

Ray J and Princess Love announced plans to divorce in 2019. The celebrities tried to reconcile by having a candid conversation that was filmed and broadcast on the Zeus network. Ray, however, ultimately filed for marriage dissolution from his wife. The LHHH star admitted that his decision to divorce his wife may have been a mistake during an interview with The Real last year.

“I just have to fall back and go, d*mn, this is a really, really good thing,” Ray said. “I’d be up for whatever it is to make sure my kids have a strong foundation and have both their parents in their lives 24/7,” the celebrity father said. “I don’t see myself splitting the time,” Ray revealed. “It’s so tough to not be with your kids all of your time.”

Princess told her Love and Hip Hop co-workers that she and Ray were getting along well during a recent update. “We’re actually getting along better than ever,” Princess told her fellow cast members. “We’re working on co-parenting right now, and I guess we’ll just take it one day at a time.”

Ray J and Princess Love wed each other in 2016. The couple separated weeks before she gave birth to their son in January 2019.
