One of the greatest NBA players in history, Scottie Pippen would command the offense, score, rebound and defend like no other during his legendary career. In the 1990s, Pippen led the Chicago Bulls to six NBA championships in eight years (winning three straight titles twice) alongside his legendary teammate Michael Jordan. Pippen was a seven-time NBA All-Star and won two Olympic Gold medals with the famed “Dream Team” in 1992 and 1996. He was inducted into the NBA Hall of Fame in 2010.
During ESPN’s “The Last Dance” documentary, which follows the 1997-1998 Chicago Bulls and their campaign for their sixth championship, Michael Jordan, who is widely considered to be the greatest NBA player ever, said of Pippen: “Whenever they speak Michael Jordan, they should speak Scottie Pippen.”
One detail that “The Last Dance” exposed was that Pippen was severely underpaid by the Chicago Bulls during their championship dynasty. Pippen actually made more after he left the Chicago Bulls and ironically, Pippen ended up making more money during his 17-year career than Michael Jordan (not counting endorsements). 1. How many kids does Scottie Pippen have?
Scottie Pippen has seven children from four different women. They are: 32-year-old Antron, 26-year-old Taylor, 25-year-old Sierra, 19-year-old Scotty Jr., 18-year-old Preston, 14-year-old Justin and 12-year-old Sophia Pippen.
2. How many kids does Scottie have with Larsa Pippen?
Reality television star Larsa Pippen married Scottie in 1997 and they had four kids together: their sons Scotty Jr., Preston, Justin, and their daughter Sophia. However, Larsa and Scottie divorced in 2018, citing irreconcilable differences. Pippen had his son Antron with his first wife Karen McCollum, but they were married only two years, divorcing in 1990. Scotty Pippen Jr. is Scottie and Larsa’s oldest child. Though he spells his name differently, he takes up basketball like just his father, currently playing for Vanderbilt University.
4. Are any of Scottie Pippen’s kids following in his footsteps?
Yes. In addition to the aforementioned Scotty Jr. playing basketball for Vanderbilt University, Preston and Justin Pippen play for Sierra Canyon High School in California. Antron Pippen played college basketball for Texas A&M and while Taylor Pippen does not play basketball, she was an accomplished volleyball player for Southern Illinois University. Sierra and Sophia Pippen don’t play basketball either, but Sophia Pippen does have a modeling career.
5. Does Scottie have a good relationship with his kids?
Not all of them. While Scottie does have a good relationship with his four children he has with ex-wife Larsa Pippen, Antron, Taylor and Sierra Pippen are not particularly close with their famous father at all. In fact, Taylor Pippen once said of Scottie: “I don’t know what he’s like as a father. He never wanted to meet me: he decided that, and I prefer not to think about it too much.”
