DMX’s fiancee, Desiree Lindstrom, is ready to open up about how she is moving forward after the death of the ‘Party Up’ rapper. The bereaved mother recently sat down with It’s Tricky with Raquel Harper to talk about how life has been these past couple of months.
“My life changed so fast,” Desiree shared. “Holidays get lonely … because Earl was my family, but I do have Exodus and I try to make the best of it, because I know that’s what he would’ve wanted me to do.”
DMX died on April 9, 2021, due to complications related to a heart attack he suffered days prior. The rapper was 50-years-old at the time of his passing and reportedly left behind 15 children. Exodus is DMX’s son with Desiree.
“[He] is a strong little boy,” Desiree said of her and DMX’s son. Lindstrom told Raquel Harper that Exodus often comforts her saying, “Daddy is with God. He is with me all the time.”
In addition to dealing with the untimely death of his father, Exodus, also battles with kidney disease. “Exodus is stable,” Desiree said of her son’s health during her interview with It’s Tricky. “He still has stage 3 kidney disease and I just continue to keep his potassium down,” the loving mother continued.
“He goes to the doctor very often,” Lindstrom said of her son’s journey to wellness. “I make sure his [levels] are where they need to be to keep him stable,” Desiree further assured podcast listeners. “He is an amazing child. He is so strong. He’s been strong since he came out of my stomach.”
