LAMELO BALL SAYS CHANGING DIAPERS IS ‘NOT MY JOB,’ LEAVES IT TO GIRLFRIEND ANA MONTANA

LaMelo Ball says changing his son’s diapers is one parenting task he leaves to his girlfriend, Ana Montana.

The NBA star, 25, made the admission during an appearance on NBA Tip-Off on Wednesday, October 21, after host Ernie Johnson asked if he changes diapers for his 9-month-old.

“Oh, nah. My girl do all that,” Ball said.

He quickly clarified, “I done did it before, you feel me? I definitely did it before. It’s just, it’s just not my job, you know what I’m saying?”

According to Ball, he and Montana have agreed on how to divide their responsibilities.

“We got a good gameplan going on. So I know what I gotta do and bring to the table, she know what she gotta do and bring to the table,” he said.

His remarks have drawn criticism on social media, particularly from those who feel that baby diaper duties shouldn’t fall exclusively to the mother. Other commenters saw nothing wrong with the arrangement and defended their right to decide what works for their household.

Ball and Montana welcomed LaOne in January 2026 but kept his arrival private until Mother’s Day in May.

Montana, whose real name is Analicia Chaves, announced the birth on Instagram with a touching message to her son.

“To my little ONE, thank you for choosing me to be your mommy,” she wrote. “I love you more than any word could ever describe! You’re my purpose and you’ve helped me become the woman I was always destined to be!”

The announcement was especially meaningful for the model, who underwent IVF before becoming a mother.

“Motherhood looks different for everyone. Mine took hope, faith, resilience, and trusting God even when I didn’t understand the journey,” she shared.

Her experience also inspired her to create I Am Fertility, a nonprofit that offers support and resources to families facing fertility challenges.

“That’s why I created @iamfertilitynonprofit to give hope, support, and real opportunity to families on their journey,” she explained.

Montana launched the organization with a $10,000 Hope Grant to provide financial assistance to two families trying to conceive.

In late August, she posted Instagram photos of LaOne at the beach and a picture of him with Ball.

“My favorite August,” she captioned.
