Range Rovers have starting price tags of about $93,000. Brandy gave her daughter an SUV from the luxury brand with all the bells and whistles.

Sy’Rai Smith is following in her mom’s footsteps with her singing career. The young adult is also inspiring her social media followers with her weight loss journey. It was just a few weeks ago that Sy’Rai made her official television debut on The Real. The young adult delved into her decision to take charge of her health.

“I had a lot of health issues,” Sy’Rai told the show’s hosts. “My mom was with me through everything. She saw me go through a lot,” Smith added. “And I just decided to really take my health seriously. So I changed my mindset, changed my mentality, and I knew that being in the body that I was in … I knew my life wasn’t going to be as long.”

Sy’Rai embarked on a journey to lose weight and have better health overall. The journey garnered much attention online, which led to the young adult grappling with another reality: pressure from social media.

“I wanted to change because of my health at first. But then, obviously, with health and changing your lifestyle weight loss kind of comes. [And] it did come,” Sy’Rai said during her interview with The Real. “I started becoming a little bit more obsessed with the scale, with how I looked, how my body was transforming,” the young adult admitted.

“I know my body has been through a lot,” Sy’Rai said in reference to her decision to accept herself and celebrate all progress towards her goals. “I always have to remind myself of that,” Smith continued. “The scars that I have, the stretch marks that I have, everything that my body has been through is for a purpose [and] it’s for a reason.”
