TYRESE GIBSON’S EX ACCUSES HIM OF FAILING TO MEET HIS CHILD SUPPORT OBLIGAITONS

Samantha Lee is accusing her ex-husband Gibson of failing to pay his court-ordered child support of $10,690 for their 4-year-old daughter, Soraya Gibson.

According to recent court documents obtained by The Blast, the “Fast and Furious” star only paid only $3,500.00 in child support for December 2023 and January 2024, which is less than the required amount.

This isn’t the first time Gibson has faced legal consequences for neglecting child support payments. In March 2023, he was held in “willful contempt” by the court for a similar issue, prompting Lee to file another motion in July 2023 due to Gibson’s continued non-compliance.

In response to Tyrese’s latest failure to meet his financial obligations, Samantha Lee is now seeking a contempt charge. She is urging the court to hold the actor accountable for his actions. She is requesting coverage for her attorney fees and seeking interest on the unpaid portion of the child support that has accumulated over the disputed months.

Tyrese Gibson recently made headlines with his appearance on “The Talk.”  While discussing his return to music after an eight-year hiatus, he opened up about the inspiration behind his work – his divorce from Lee.

“Unfortunately, I woke up to the most unexpected thing. My wife at the time decided to file for divorce, and I still don’t know why to this day. You know, I thought everyone loved chocolate, I guess I was wrong.”

During the conversation, he expressed surprise at the idea of a three-year-old needing $300,000 a month in child support.

He said, “Is this love or just a transaction, right, because how—how many more, how many more divorce trials are we going to see where a two-year-old ends up with $300,000 a month? Now I don’t know where y’all from but there is no such thing as a three-year-old who needs $300,000 a month.”
