Mariah Carey and her daughter, Monroe Cannon, performed at the Hollywood Bowl on Friday (Nov. 17) and did not disappoint. The mother-daughter duo performed during Carey’s soldout holiday concert, which included the Kardashians and other Hollywood stars in the audience.
“We made it snow in L.A.,” Mariah said of the evening. “Thank you for such a special night,” the singer added. “Let’s do it again tomorrow,” Carey said of Saturday’s show, which was also at the Hollywood Bowl.
Monroe held her mom’s hand while singing ‘Jesus Born On This Day.’ The youngster looked like an angel while dressed in white like her mom.
“It was so fabulous,” Kris Jenner said of Friday’s concert. “Just a beautiful night with Mariah,” the entrepreneur added. “The best part of this show was you singing along with your daughter,” another fan said. “It was epic!”
Mariah Carey is recognized as the Queen of Christmas by many. Every year, her hit single ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ soars to the top of the music charts during the holiday season. Carey discussed her love for the holiday during a recent interview with W magazine.
“Christmas makes me happy,” the singer shared. “People think I had this princess-style life or whatever, a kind of fairy-tale existence where I just emerged, like, ‘Here I am!’ And that is not what it is,” Mariah explained.
“When you grow up with a messed-up life and then you’re able to have this transformation where you can make your life what you want it to be? That is joy for me,” the singer revealed. “That’s why I want my kids to have everything they can have,” Carey told W magazine. “I want them to be able to understand that they can be anything they want to be.”
Mariah Carey has two kids, Monroe and Moroccan, with her ex-husband, Nick Cannon. The twins turn 13-years-old next April.
