It’s been five years since the untimely passing of Kim Porter, the mother of four of Sean Diddy Combs’ kids. On the anniversary of her death yesterday, her children took to Instagram to share their heartfelt tributes and memories.
Quincy, the eldest of the siblings, poured his heart out, expressing, “I miss you so much mommy. Thank Q to everyone for all the outreach and love y’all continue to show my Queen.”
Christian “King” Combs, Kim’s second-born son, shared a poignant message, saying, “I Love you and Miss you Soo soo soo sooo much mommy !!!!! Not a day goes by where I don’t think of you, or feel your presence. I love you so much !! #FOREVERKP.”
In a touching display of love, Kim’s youngest, twin daughters D’lila and Jessie Combs, used Instagram stories to send their love to their mom. The twins also recently participated in a magazine shoot, revealing that they are following in their mother’s modeling footsteps.
Kim Porter died on November 15, 2018. Two months after the tragic death of the former model, an autopsy report revealed the mother of four succumbed to lobar pneumonia, a bacterial infection often triggered by the flu or a virus.
The L.A. County Medical Examiner released a statement, stating, “On Nov. 16, 2018, an autopsy was performed on Porter, and a cause of death was deferred pending further investigation. It was later determined Porter died from lobar pneumonia. The manner of death was certified as natural.”
Diddy, deeply affected by the loss, shared his feelings after her passing, saying, “God broke the mold when he made Kim. There was truly no other woman like her. Although her time here on earth was far too short, she lived a life full of purpose and meaning. She was a loving mother and devoted friend.”
Recently, the music mogul released his first solo album since 2006, “The Love Album: Off the Grid”, revealing that the project was a tribute to Kim Porter.
Taking to Instagram yesterday, Combswrote, “Getting a chance to work with @BabyFace on my love letter to Kim was a dream come true. Only God can orchestrate moments like this!”
Although Porter and Diddy were never married, they shared four children together — including Porter’s son with producer Al B. Sure, Quincy Brown, 32, who Combs adopted; Christian a.k.a King, 25; and twins D’Lila and Jessie, 16.
