A newly surfaced photo reveals just how much Blue Ivy Carter and Julez Smith have shot up. The cousins, whose mothers are sisters Beyonce and Solange Knowles, have grown in front of our eyes.
In the viral photo, Blue Ivy, Julez Smith, and Beyonce all sport smiles as they pose with a celebratory cake. While the occasion isn’t explicitly mentioned, it’s widely assumed to be an early birthday celebration for Julez, who is set to turn 19 on October 18, 2004.
Blue Ivy, who is only 11 years old, recently finished touring with her mom on the Renaissance Tour. Spanning 10 countries and 39 cities, the tour concluded on October 1 in Kansas City, MO.
Following the successful conclusion of Beyoncé’s blockbuster Renaissance Tour, Ms. Tina took a moment to acknowledge her granddaughter, Blue Ivy Carter, for her hard work. Beyoncé and Solange’s mother uploaded a video to her Instagram account, juxtaposing Blue Ivy’s debut performance on the tour’s France stop with her final performance in Kansas City earlier this week to highlight her growth as a performer.
“I could not be more proud of my beautiful granddaughter. She worked so hard.! She is a true talent. Good at so many things, and keeps surprising us every day with her mature, intelligent analogies of everything in life at 11 years old,” she wrote in her caption. “She is so wise beyond her years hard-working never backs down from a challenge. She is kind and loyal and wise and beautiful. Go Blue !!!!!! Love and Godspeed.”
As for Julez Smith, he was seen on several occasions supporting his aunt and cousin on tour. Evidently, Blue and Julez enjoy the same music despite their age difference.
In July, Julez posted a TikTok video of himself in a car, jamming to DaBaby and Sexyy Red’s “Shake Sumn (Remix).” In the comments, someone asked how he discovered the song, and he replied that Blue introduced him to it.
