This past weekend, Julez Smith, the 18-year-old son of Solange Knowles, was spotted backstage, rubbing shoulders with none other than Megan Thee Stallion during Beyoncé’s Renaissance tour stop in Houston, Texas.

Megan Thee Stallion, a Houston native, joined forces with Queen Bey in an unforgettable performance on the Renaissance World Tour on September 23rd. The duo treated their hometown crowd to a live rendition of their hit collaboration, “Savage (Remix),” for the very first time. 

Taking to Instagram, Julez eagerly shared a snapshot of his encounter with Megan just before her electrifying stage appearance. In the photo, Megan sported hair rollers while striking a pose alongside the teenager. Julez also didn’t miss the opportunity to take  a photo with rapper Travis Scott while backstage.

This isn’t the first time Julez Smith has made a cameo during his aunt’s tour. On August 11th, he made a rare appearance at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia, during the first night of Beyoncé’s three-day run of the Renaissance Tour. In a heartwarming video, he was seen standing tall, watching his 41-year-old aunt deliver an electrifying performance, while also towering over his grandmother, Tina Knowles.

Solange Knowles, who is now 37 years old, welcomed Julez into the world back in 2004 when she herself was just 18 years old. Her marriage to Daniel Smith ended in 2007, but they’ve remained dedicated co-parents to their son.

Despite the allure of his family’s fame and fortune, Julez Smith has mostly remained tight-lipped about his family life. 

“If you know me you know I don’t speak on my family,” he said in a recent message to his followers. “That’s for y’all to find out. Anything about my family is for y’all to find out somewhere else but it ain’t from me.”

However, when asked about whether he texts his superstar aunt, Smith was quick to respond, “I feel like everybody texts their aunt,” he explained. “That’s just my auntie. Just like how your auntie is just your auntie.”
