Keke Palmer and boyfriend Darius Jackson were surrounded by loved ones as they celebrated their upcoming arrival of their baby boy.
Taking to Instagram on Saturday, Palmer shared snaps from her ‘Once Upon A Baby’ themed baby shower, thanking everyone who made the event special.
She began, “Thank you soooo much @coterie for making this beautiful baby shower possible. And to you @whambamevents for helping bring to life this fairytale of mine.”
She continued, “From the games to the food by @melbasharlem, to the music by @djmadout and @jey.yung that kept us jamming all night. It was a Chicago, Jersey and Cali connection, a night I’ll never forget. I’m really just so so happy for my family and my baby shower for me and @dvulton more than anything was about celebrating the people we love that have carried us this far!!! We know they will be so good to our baby boy.”
Last month, Keke Palmer announced that she was expecting her first child. The actress and comedian announced the news while hosting “Saturday Night Live” on December 3, 2022.
During her opening monologue, Palmer said, “There’s some rumors going around, people have been in my comments saying, ‘Keke’s having a baby, Keke’s pregnant,’ and I wanna set the record straight — I am!”
Adding, “I gotta say, though, it is bad when people on the internet spread rumors about you y’all, but it’s even worse when they’re correct. I mean, like, I was trying so hard to keep it on the down low, cause I got a lot of stuff going on, you know?” she continued. “… But honestly this has been the biggest blessing, and I am so excited. Guys, I’m going to be a mom.”
The talented star went on to remind her fans that she’s all grown up now and no longer the child star that they all grew up with.
“Even though some people feel a little weird about me having a baby cause I was a child actor, I just wanna say, look, I’m 29, I’m grown, I have sex, I own a home, I stormed the Capitol on January 6, you know? Things adults do.”
