Congratulations to Keke Palmer who is expecting her first child with her boyfriend, Darius Jackson-Daulton. The actress revealed her pregnancy while hosting the latest episode of Saturday Night Live (SNL).
“There’s some rumors going around, people have been in my comments saying, ‘Keke’s having a baby, Keke’s pregnant,’” Palmer said of those on social media who suspected her pregnancy. “I want to set the record straight — I am,” the actress exclaimed.
Some fans began to believe Keke Palmer was expecting a child a few weeks ago. Some pointed out what they believed to be “the glow,” while others presented the notion of Palmer attempting to hide her baby bump with clothes and accessories.
“It is bad when people on the Internet spread rumors about you,” Keke shared during her SNL monologue. “But it’s even worse when they’re correct,” the actress added.
“I mean, like, I was trying so hard to keep it on the down low, ’cause I got a lot of stuff going on,” Keke said. “But honestly this has been the biggest blessing, and I am so excited,” the actress told the audience. “Guys, I’m going to be a mom,” Palmer doted.
The journey to motherhood has come with its share of hard decisions. It was during a Twitter post in 2019 that Keke Palmer shared her decision to have an abortion when she was 24 years old.
“I was worried about my career responsibilities and afraid that I could not exist as both a career woman and mother,” Palmer revealed. “Making individual choices is not a betrayal of your faith,” Keke told her fans and foes.
“God knows your heart and your journey,” the actress continued. “God never judges. I hate that it’s always a this vs that, instead of an ‘I understand YOUR PERSPECTIVE.’”
Keke Palmer is expecting her first child to arrive next year.
