SEVEN-YEAR-OLD NORTH TEXAS GIRL NAMED “FASTEST KID IN THE NATION”

Seven-year-old Dakota White is not only the self-proclaimed “fastest kid in the nation,” she is also a history-maker. Recently, Dakota set a new record in the girls eight-and-under 100-meter relay at the AAU Junior Olympics. Dakota ran her portion of the relay in just under 60 seconds.

When asked in a recent interview with Fox4news.com just how she manged to set the new record, she said, “I just run really hard.”

Former Texas Christian University wide receiver, Cam White, Dakota’s father credits her current success at beginning her training with him when she was just three-years-old.

“She just had form, like crazy form. It wasn’t fast, but her form was already perfect. So then as she progressed, we started getting her different trainers,” her father explained in the interview.

By the time Dakota was six-years-old, she was already dominating the track, winning all of her races.

Her father concluded, “She’s just excelling in a sport that she loves now.”

In a recent docu-series that Dakota shared on social media, entitled to reflect her motto – No Days Off, the Fort Worth area native underscores that she means just that..No Days Off.  The talented Texas young athlete said that she didn’t even take off a single day during this past summer. She is truly an inspiration to all, not just athletes. And especially to her parents.

“At the end of the day, she puts a lot of work ethic in me, so it gets me more driven because I’m like, ‘If my daughter can do it, that’s a 400-meter track.’ If she can do this, there’s no reason why I couldn’t do certain things,” Cam said in the “No Days Off” video. “It just gets us more driven as parents.”

Currently, Dakota has her sights set on following in the path of Sha’Carri Richardson, another North Texas Native, and one day qualifying for the Olympics.

Currently, she is being trained by Ryan Tennison at the Elite Sports University Training Facility.

We have no doubt that we will one day see Dakota accomplish her dreams.
