JeCobi Swain has been one busy young actor. You may know his face from the Disney hit show, Obi-Wan Kenobi, or the ABC hit, Home Economics. Now, a new audience is going to know his voice as he is starring in the new Disney Junior show, Firebuds.
“It’s an honor to be apart of this special show! Let’s celebrate all parents & people who are first responders! Disney’s Firebuds Premieres September 21st on Disney Platforms: Disney, Disney JR, and Disney Plus! Tune in!” Swain posted on Instagram, excitedly announcing the news.
He continued, “Special Thanks to Casting, The Creator, Producers, the entire Firebuds Team @disney @disneyjunior @disneyplus @disneyjunior for letting me bring Jayden to life! I’m going to be forever grateful. Special Gratitude to Team JeCobi who works hard along with me and believed in me from the very beginning of my start in VoiceOver.”
In the upcoming series, JeCobi will voice the character of Jayco.
So, just what action can Disney Junior families expect from the upcoming series? Well, according to justjaredjr.com, here’s a synopsis below!
Firebuds is set in a fantastical world where talking vehicles live, work and play with the humans who drive them, and follows a group of friends, all children of first responders, who embark on adventures to help their community and learn what it truly means to be a hero.
The new series was created by Craig Gerber, who was the genius behind Sofia The First and Elena of Avalor.
Each episode is comprised of two 11-minute stories that showcase the importance of teamwork, helping fellow citizens and volunteerism.
In addition to Swain, additional voice actors include: Declan Whaley, Terrence Little Gardenhigh, Vivian Vencer, Lily Sanfelippo, Caleb Paddock. Lou Diamond Phillips, and Yvette Nicole Brown.
Tune-in! Firebuds will premiere on Wednesday, September 21st on Disney Channel and Disney Junior at 10:30 am ET/PT.
