Ashley Darby is grateful for her sons. The Real Housewives of Potomac (RHOP) star shared pictures from her family’s vacation in Hawaii on Sunday (Jul. 31) and wrote a very special message to her sons, Dylan and Dean.
“Thank you for choosing me, Dean and Dylan,” Ashley wrote to her sons. “I’ve never ever known joy like this before,” the celebrity mom declared.
Many could not get over how much Dean and Dylan have grown. “When did the baby get so big,” one social media follower asked regarding Dylan. “He was literally just born,” the fan exclaimed. “I like his sandals!” Another of Ashley’s supporters wrote, “Dean is growing up.”
Dean and Dylan are Ashley Darby’s kids with businessman Michael Darby. The little ones’ parents moved for marriage dissolution earlier this year after nearly eight years of marriage. “It’s been almost 8 magical years,” Ashley shared in a statement given exclusively to The Daily Dish.
“Almost eight years ago, when Michael and I said ‘I do,’ we anticipated sharing every single day together from that moment forward,” Darby said. “Unfortunately, that is not our current reality,” she continued.
“We have decided to separate,” Ashley revealed in her statement. “We are aware that there will be many speculative views as to why we have made this decision.”
“People will be quick to assume that the causes were too much intrusion by reality TV into the most personal parts of our lives, age gap issues, cultural problems, or child-rearing differences. Pieces of all these may have affected our pure love for each other, but no one reason is the root cause of our mutual decision to go our separate ways.”
Many fans got an inside look at Ashley and Michael’s lives during various episodes of Real Housewives of Potomac. The former couple welcomed their youngest son last March. Dean celebrated his third birthday earlier this month.
