Fans cannot get enough of Marques Houston’s family. The Sister, Sister actor and his wife, Miya, recently shared pictures of their daughter, Zara, that were nothing short of precious.

One candid featured Zara wearing a hat that matched her dress. The youngster sat up for the picture with the help of her mom who provided a steady hand. “#ZarasBeachDay @iammiyahouston had to hold her up a little so shout out to Mommy’s hand in the background,” Marques told his social media fans.
Zara was also photographed while enjoying a pool day with her mom and dad. “First pool day was a success,” Miya told her social media fans. “She’s a water baby like her momma,” the doting mom said of her daughter.
Miya and Marques Houston welcomed their daughter last December. Many were surprised to learn the veteran actor had a child as the general public was also unaware that Marques had gotten married.
“Miya and I didn’t start dating until she was an adult,” Marques said of his relationship with Miya before marriage. “We fell in love and got engaged in March of 2019,” Houston added. “My dad Michael loves her, and the people I am closest to all love her as well. Most importantly we have Jehovah’s blessing.”
Miya told the press last year that she and Marques met during a religious gathering. “Both Marques and I share the same religious faith,” Mrs. Houston revealed. “We met casually in a group setting through a mutual friend at our annual District Convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses,” Miya said.
Some criticized Marques for marrying Miya because of the age difference between the two of them. The actor, however, now ignores such scrutiny.
“We have Jehovah’s blessing,” Marques declared in 2020. “So to all the rumors about me, none of it is true,” he added in an Instagram post that addressed the speculation once and for all. “And that’s the story. No twists, no turns, no scandals, just true love,” Marques said of his relationship with Miya. “There is nothing that can come to light because there’s no darkness in my life.”
