Solange’s son, Julez Smith, is on Twitter’s radar after previewing new music. Some have called for the 17-year-old’s famous mom and aunt, Beyonce, to take his phone away.

It was not so much of Julez’s flow that fans did not appreciate as it was the lyrics he delivered in his social media post. Julez talked about the “feds” doing a “sweep” as well as other scenarios to which Twitter users felt he could not relate.
“You don’t see King Combs tryna be a ‘hood’ rapper,” one social media critic declared. “That n*gga talk about fly sh*t, money, and girls,” the Twitter user continued. “Ya know, stuff he can relate to. Like, Julez, you’re Solange’s son and Beyoncé’s nephew. You better rap about the cranes in the sky and lemonade.”
He isn't Beyoncé's or Jay-Zs son and I need y'all to stop including them when the son of y'all favorite sister does some sh*t on here. Show us solange's house https://t.co/SP7JXRLbTr

Another social media critic said, “If you would have told me this the music the son of Solange and nephew of Beyoncé would be making, I’d call you a liar and laugh in your face. But, yet, here we are.”
Julez Smith is Solange Knowles’ son with Daniel Smith Sr. He celebrated his seventeenth birthday last year, which was shocking to some who remember when Solange was pregnant with her son.

Julez has indeed lived in the spotlight as his aunt Beyonce would often bring him along to gigs. The youngster was even featured in a commercial in his younger years.
Some critics of Julez’s new music claimed to expect more because of his musically inclined family. Julez, however, had a few fans to defend his right to be a creative kid after hearing his latest tune.
I’m more shocked at Solange having a whole 17 year old son. Has it really been THAT long since we saw her pregnant in the ‘Soldier’ video???

“He is still young for heaven’s sake,” one Twitter user said. “Some people are hurt people to tweet hurtful things about a young person,” the defender added. “We need to encourage him with developmental assets instead of tearing him down.”
Julez turns 18-years-old in October.
