"Please Stop It"

Aja Metoyer is once again asking her supporters to not make assumptions about her son Xavier’s relationship with his father, Dwyane Wade. The celebrity mom expressed her feelings in a recent social media post.

“Only because I keep getting extremely negative comments,” Aja began her note. “I appreciate the support but wishing harm on people is pretty bad,” Metoyer shared. “Not the support I want,” she added. “It’s even worse when you realize you have been misinformed and you have let your wild imagination take you to a non-existent place.”

Metoyer went on to tell her supporters, “Be positive. It’s not what it may look like on this evil thing called the internet. Be real with yourself. How would you feel if harm was done to one of your parents? Now think of my son. Please stop it … Thanks.”

Internet trolls began to call Dwyane Wade a deadbeat father after getting wind of the celebrity’s memoir in which he reveals his youngest son does not live with him. “Xavier doesn’t live with me, so we don’t get to see each other every day like I do with my other kids,” Wade shares with his readers. “It makes things challenging at times, but it’s my job to make sure he never has to carry that weight,” the celebrity father explains in his book.

“It’s up to me to make sure he knows he’s being raised with love even if we don’t live under the same roof,” Wade adds of Xavier, according to Dwyane. “And it’s up to me to let him know that while distance may physically separate us at times, I’m always going to be the man he can depend on to love him and help lead him.”

Some praised Dwyane Wade for being a great father to all of his kids. Some, however, accused the celebrity of avoiding his responsibilities as a parent while Xavier’s grandfather took on the active role of fathering the little one. Aja Metoyer refuted such allegations as untrue. Still, there remained those who were convinced Dwyane was not an involved dad.

In all, Dwyane Wade has four children. Aja Metoyer has three kids in all.
