Mike Epps is ready to share his son’s name with the public. The comedian took to Instagram on Wednesday (Nov. 24) to reveal his little one’s name.
“Mike Epps Jr.,” Mike Epps said in reference to his newborn’s name. “God is Good,” the celebrity father concluded. “Congratulations King,” T.I. wrote in response to Mike Epps’ post. “All the time God is good,” Kelvin Okafor shared. “Congratulations,” the artist shared.
Mike Epps and his wife, Kyra Epps, welcomed their son last month. Kyra took to Instagram to celebrate the arrival of their baby boy. “Son, we prayed for you,” Kyra exclaimed online. “You have officially rocked our world,” the celebrity mom shared. “Mama loves you so much.”

Kyra and Mike Epps’ son came just over a year after the celebrity’s daughter, Indiana Rose, arrived. Kyra gave birth to Indiana in March 2020. The little one made Kyra a mom for the first time and Mike Epps the father of five kids. Mike Epps shared his desire to have a son five years ago.
“I wish I had a son,” Mike shared exclusively with PEOPLE. “My mother had eight sons and one girl,” the comedian revealed. “My mother cried every day,” she added. “A woman can’t control a little boy that much. You think they can, but it’s like dealing with a little man,” Epps said.

“I think the gene pool switched up,” Mike joked. “I had all the girls that she wanted,” the celebrity further mused.
Mike Epps Jr. is the son his father longed to have. Mike also has four daughters – Maddie, Makayla, Bria, and Mariah – in addition to his daughter with Kyra. The celebrity father is also a grandfather whose granddaughter appears to follow in his footsteps. Bria’s daughter, Skylar, has the acting gift like her grandpa, which makes many believe she will carry on the family’s business in entertainment one day.
