Grammy award winner Blue Ivy Carter is sipping from her own “Gold Sippy Cup” seven years after her father, Jay-Z, won an award in her honor. The youngster was recently photographed while drinking a beverage from her award.
Some may remember Jay-Z dedicating his award at the 2014 Grammy Awards to Blue. The rapper’s daughter was 2-years-old at the time, which is why Jay told Blue that he had a “Gold sippy cup” for her.
The precious moment appeared to come full circle during this year’s Grammy Awards season as Blue Ivy won a Grammy Award for Best Music Video. The 9-year-old was unable to attend the awards ceremony because of coronavirus restrictions. Blue, nevertheless, celebrated by drinking a beverage from her Grammy Award.
“Come through with the gold sippy cup Blue, Blue,” one fan exclaimed after seeing the video collage Beyonce shared on her Instagram page. Bey highlighted her history-making moment of being a female artist with the most Grammy Award wins in the establishment’s history. The ‘Love On Top’ singer culminated the collage by placing a picture of Blue with her “gold sippy cup” at the end.
Beyonce’s moving speech on Grammy night included thanks to her family. “I know my daughter is watching,” the recording artist told the ceremony’s attendees. “Two daughters and my son, they’re all watching,” Bey continued.
“Blue, congratulations,” Beyonce said to her daughter. “She won a Grammy tonight,” the celebrity mom told the crowd. “I’m so proud of you and I’m so honored to be your mommy, all of your mommy’s. Y’all are my babies, and I’m so proud of y’all. I love you so much, my rock.”
Beyonce won four Grammy Awards this year. The recording artist received 10 nominations. Bey has won a total of 28 Grammy Awards in her career that spans more than 20 years.
