Beverly Peele had trouble bonding with her son, Trey, after allegedly being assaulted by his father, Peter Nygard. The model recently shared her story with Tamron Hall of The Tamron Hall Show.
“My son and I are very close,” Peele said. “I told him that, ‘It was hard for me to take you into my arms,’ and things like that,” the model continued. “Everything I say my son already knows, so it’s not anything that he’s hearing for the first time. He’s such a strong boy, or a young man, I should say. I’m very, very thankful for him.”
Beverly Peele was allegedly assaulted by Peter Nygard while doing business with the fashion designer years ago. “My encounter was definitely not consensual,” Peele said during a recent appearance on Unseamly: The Investigation of Peter Nygard. “After my incident, no, I didn’t tell anybody, because I’d just signed a three-year contract,” Peele explained.
“I’m a strong independent person, and I am just gonna brush this under the rug and show up for work the next day,” Beverly added. “I just wanted to finish my contract and be done with this man.”

Beverly welcomed her and Peter’s son while married to Jeffrey Alexander. She did not know Trey was Peter’s child until after she gave birth.
“I did not want to breastfeed. I didn’t want to put the baby’s smell on me,” Beverly said of her initial response to learning that Peter was the father of her son. “I hate saying that but it’s the truth and it’s because it’s what Peter Nygard did to me … and the way everything went down.”
Still, even with her strong feelings about Peter Nygard, Beverly views their son as the best part of life. “The best thing I got out of Peter Nygard was my son,” the model told Tamron Hall.
