It is that time of year again when Ebony Magazine honors the heroes of the Black community. For over seventy years, Ebony magazine has paid homage to individuals who have made an impact in the African-American community, challenging the status-quo, fighting for a better tomorrow.
On December 1, 2017, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, CA, the community came together to celebrate the 2017 list of inspiring African-Americans who make up the year’s Power 100. The star-studded event was hosted by Deon Cole and once again presented by Nationwide, in addition to being sponsored by Hilton, Cadillac, United Airlines, Shea Moisture, and Tangueray.
A few of this year’s honorees include:
Entertainers of the Year
Sterling K. Brown
Dr. John H. Jackson
Marisa Renee Lee
Michael Walrond Jr.
Allyson Michelle Felix
Odell Beckham Jr.
Rayne Dakota “Dak” Prescott
Shauntia Latrice “Tia” Norfleet
