DWYANE WADE’S SON, ZAIRE WADE, IS OFF TO START HIS POST-GRAD YEAR

18-year-old Zaire Wade, the eldest son of NBA legend Dwyane Wade, is off to begin a new year at Brewster Academy.

Zaire previously played basketball for Sierra Canyon High School in California, but he injured his ankle during his senior year and barely received playing time upon his return. Unhappy with his lack of playing time, Zaire announced his decision to transfer to Brewster Academy in New Hampshire after his graduation from Sierra Canyon. Zaire reclassified, so before heading to college, he will spend a post-grad year playing for Brewster Academy.

After spending the summer training intensely with his father, Zaire headed off to Brewster, but of course, his family wasn’t about to let him leave without a goodbye. Dwyane Wade recently posted three photos of the Wade family preparing to drop off Zaire at Brewster on Instagram.

One picture showed Zaire, Dwyane, his wife Gabrielle Union, and Zaire’s sisters, 13-year-old Zaya and 1-year-old Kaavia Wade, all smiling together for a sweet family photo. The second photo showed Dwyane and Zaire playing with Kaavia and the third was a candid of Zaire and Zaya together. In the caption, Dwyane wrote an emotional tribute to his son, speaking about how proud he was of Zaire and wishing him the best of luck at Brewster.

“Man oh Man 😭 😭 😭 Dropping your oldest off to school is another set of emotions that I didn’t know existed. I’m a proud father! My goal as a parent is to raise kids who know their worth and that are better than I could ever be,” wrote Dwyane.

“From watching Zaire build a company with his friends the last two years, To watching him handle the hate that has been thrown at his sister Zaya and showing grown-ass men how to love unconditionally at 18-years-old, To seeing how he’s been able to handle not seeing his parents interact or be in the same room together for most of his life and the list goes on and on,” Dwyane continued. “He’s already way ahead of me at 18. He’s already built different. I’m excited for him to go on this journey of life as he becomes Zaire Wade! Good Luck at Brewster Academy YnG 🧬🖤🖤🖤.”
