YouTube star Nicole Thea, along with her unborn son Reign she was eight months pregnant with, tragically passed away at 24-years-old on July 11. Thea’s family revealed that (pending on the official autopsy report) she and her unborn son died of a “massive heart attack.”
“She had it in her house and she was telling her partner that she had pains in her chest and her back,” her uncle Charles Murray explained. “She was a dancer and we don’t think she had any underlying health problems. It is terrible — but we won’t know for sure until we have the post-mortem.”
UK native Nicole Thea was a YouTube and Instagram star, with over 117,000 subscribers and 240,000 followers. A dancer and an accessories designer, Thea made a name for herself with her videos on dancing and beauty. More recently, she made videos documenting her pregnancy with her boyfriend, Ghanaian dancer Global Boga. The couple first announced Thea’s expectancy in April on Instagram, saying: “GOD gave us the biggest blessing yet… Mummy and Daddy can’t wait to love, hold, and cherish you forever and ever 🥺💕.” Tragically, Thea was only weeks away from her due date when she and Reign passed.
On July 12, Nicole Thea’s mother announced her daughter’s and her unborn grandson’s untimely deaths in a statement via her Instagram page. “To all Nicole’s friends and supporters, it is with great sadness that I have to inform you that Nicole and her son she and Boga named Reign sadly passed away on Saturday morning,” Nicole’s mother wrote. “As a family, we ask that you give us privacy because our hearts are truly broken and we are struggling to cope with what has happened,” she continued. “RIP My beautiful baby girl Nicnac and my grandson Reign, I will miss you for the rest of my life until we meet again in eternal heaven.”
