Wendy Williams just wants everyone to grow up. The talk show host recently expressed her desire to move forward after an altercation that took place between her son, Kevin Hunter Jr., and estranged husband, Kevin Hunter Sr., landed her son in police custody.

“Young Kevin and I are fine,” Wendy shared with TMZ exclusively. “Stuff happens in life. Stuff happens, and it’s okay,” she added before telling the cameraman, “Please don’t make me cry … I didn’t plan all this but it is what it is. … I have a very full life. Thank you for watching [my show]. I would ask you to respect our privacy but, please, I don’t respect people’s privacy; that’s why I do the ‘Hot Topics’ [segment on my show]. … All three of us are doing fine.”
Kevin Hunter Jr. was arrested last month after he allegedly punched his father, Kevin Hunter Sr., in a New Jersey parking lot. Sources connected to Big Kevin later said that the celebrity father blamed his estranged wife for their son’s disdain for him.

Still, even with their reported strained relationship, Wendy Williams remains optimistic about her and Big Kevin’s ability to co-parent in the future. “[Young] Kevin’s got to graduate from college,” Wendy told TMZ. “He’s going into Sophomore year,” she added. “Everybody’s got to grow up.”
