Luna Stephens may have a little brother or sister soon. The youngster’s parents, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend, recently revealed that they will try for baby number two in coming months.
John and Chrissy will go the route of IVF as they did with Luna. Teigen gave a bit of insight into the process during her recent talk with InStyle magazine. The model told the media source that she and John began with 20 eggs but ended up with only three workable embryos since doctors only keep the fetus samples that “are going to be good for your body.” According to Chrissy, “The first little girl didn’t work, and then the second is Luna.” The third will hopefully be the couple’s second child.
It’s no surprise that Chrissy and John are going for baby number two. Teigen expressed her desire to have more kids during an interview with Marie Claire earlier this year. “I would definitely adopt or have foster children,” she said. “But I loved being pregnant.” In all of her joy of expectancy, the star questioned whether her post-partum depression (PPD) would return with a vengeance. “It couldn’t be any worse than it was – could it,” Chrissy asked.
Teigen’s case of PPD was pretty severe. “I thought I was just being a selfish a—hole,” Chrissy revealed to InStyle. “I actually couldn’t move,” she added.
Things are better now, but Chrissy doesn’t shy away from the challenges that she still faces. “I have really good days and really bad days, and I don’t tend to talk about the really bad days,” she shared. “But I would hate for people to think those days didn’t exist.”
