Mother’s Day will be a bit lonely for Siohvaughn Funches if the rumors are true. The former NBA wife tells media that her ex-husband, Dwyane Wade, will not allow their sons to build a relationship with her and has gone so far as to refuse to let Zion and Zaire spend time with their mom on Mother’s Day.
“Anything Dwyane and his lawyers do to make my client’s life a living hell, they do,” said Funches’ lawyer Lisa Macci. “They’ve announced their intention of denying her a court-ordered Mother’s Day visitation, so I’m filing an emergency motion to force them to hand her the children on Mother’s Day.”
Siohvaughn took to the streets and conducted several interviews to speak about injustice done to her by Wade and the courts last year. “Its reached a point now where my oldest son doesn’t want to visit at all,” said Funches during one interview. “My youngest has been told I don’t want to see them. The other day he got on the phone with me and said he was told that I didn’t want to come see him. I have finals, I’m trying to grow as a person. Mr. Wade is vindictive and he’s trying to turn my sons against me.”
Dwyane Wade has two kids with Siohvaugh Funches, and three kids in all. The Miami ‘Heat’ star is currently engaged to be married to actress Gabrielle Union.
