Singer Mashonda wants an increase in child support payments from her ex-husband Swizz Beatz a.k.a Kasseem Dean . Mashonda, who filed for divorce from Swizz in 2009, says that her monthly child support payments of $3,500 , a decrease from $5,000 a week($20,000/month), is not sufficient enough to support their two-year-old son Kassem jr.
Producer Swizz Beatz and his attorney are ready to battle it out in court with the singer. Swizz’ attorney Dan Rottenstreich says that Swizz was giving Mashonda $5,000 a week but “his advisers felt that was too much, so now he pays her $3,500 a month, on top of the bills. ”
“Swizz has put settlement offers on the table, but Mashonda won’t say what she needs. She just came back from Paris and London. She drives a Bentley Flying Spur and a Cadillac Escalade. I don’t think life’s too bad for her.” Beatz’s lawyer, Dan Rottenstreich, adds: “He’s taken care of her and his son above and beyond what’s required.”
