Keke Palmer and her son perfectly nailed their Halloween throwback look inspired by the 2000 hit “Bow Wow (That’s My Name).”

The Nope actress took to Instagram on Wednesday, Oct. 29, to show off her and 2-year-old son Leodis “Leo” Jackson’s epic Halloween costumes, and they didn’t miss a beat.

The mother-son duo dressed up as Snoop Dogg and Bow Wow, channeling the rappers from Bow Wow’s 2000 classic “Bow Wow (That’s My Name)” featuring Snoop himself. In one shot, the Disney alum transformed into Snoop, rocking a white T-shirt, zip-up hoodie, baggy pants, white sneakers, and a silver chain. Leo looked just as cool beside her, wearing a white sweatband, denim jacket, T-shirt, and sunglasses while striking his pose.

“My son my lil road dog FORREAL! Happy Halloween,” the actress wrote in her caption.

She followed up with a playful video of the two rapping along to the song as Leo bopped to the beat and adjusted his shades.

“Woof the dogs came to playyyy. Happy Halloween,” she added.

The 32-year-old welcomed Leo in February 2023 with ex-boyfriend Darius Jackson and has been open about embracing motherhood on her own terms. Earlier this month, she shared a sweet Instagram post about life as a single mom.

“Omg I think my baby is a performer yall! Hahahahahah!!! Yall see him putting on for the camera???” she wrote, before adding, “This is to all my mother’s doing it on their own. Not as a moment of pity or as a badge of hardship because being a mother is difficult, period. I just want to acknowledge you! …”

The mother-of-one admitted it had been “a really hard week,” but she used the moment to encourage other moms.

“… You are doing good. You are capable. Your baby does love you. Your sacrifices are accounted for. God is with you. Your prayers will be answered, keep praying,” she wrote.

She reminded moms that it’s okay to be human. “… It’s okay that they see we are human and we communicate our feelings. I would see my mom sad, I would see my dad sad, I watched them be human and I think I’m a better person because of it,” she added.

Over the summer, Keke shared that Leo’s full name, Leodis Andrellton Jackson, was his father’s creative idea.

“Darius actually made his name. He wanted both our names,” she laughed on Scott Evans’ House Guest podcast. “He sounded like he was marching with [Martin Luther King Jr.]. It’s like Leodis Andrellton Jackson. He’s gonna be on somebody’s campaign.”
