North West may already have a music career, famous parents and millions of followers, but the 13-year-old still wants to experience something a little more ordinary: a regular job.

In a new interview with Dazed, the daughter of Kim Kardashian and Ye opened up about her growing career, personal style and what she sees herself doing outside of music.
When asked what she would pursue if she weren’t an artist, North made it clear that her former dream of becoming a basketball player is officially off the table.
“No, it’s not. What would I be? I still wanna work. I wanna work at, like, Starbucks next year,” she said. “I think I can next year ’cause I’m gonna be 14, so… I think I can. I want to have a regular job, I guess.”
For now, however, North is focused heavily on music.
She released her six-track debut EP, N0rth4evr, in May and has already started performing live. She joined Molly Santana onstage at Rolling Loud in Orlando before making her first solo music festival appearance at Summer Smash in June.

North said she had been more than ready for the opportunity.
“Yeah, I wish I’d done it earlier, though. I’ve been ready,” she told the magazine.
The teen has also changed the way she prepares for performances. Instead of simply getting onstage and seeing what happens, she now spends much of her time rehearsing.
“I don’t like to rest a lot. I like to get stuff done,” North explained while describing her ideal day. “So maybe just going to rehearsal, and then going to the studio; that’s a perfect day.”

Starting young is something North has no plans to apologize for. When asked about the worst advice she has received, she pointed to people who have suggested she wait before pursuing a career.
“To start my career later,” she said. “It’s like, nah, this is my hobby, this is what I like to do, this is what I wanna do with my life.”
North also spoke about developing her own sense of style, which currently includes blue hair, piercings and plenty of experimentation. While some of her choices may get attention online, she has a simple argument for mom Kim Kardashian.
“Everyone’s in love with boys, vaping and doing all kinds of bad stuff,” she said. “All I want is blue hair and piercings.”
And apparently, a Starbucks job.
