Earlier this month, Halle Bailey announced the arrival of her baby boy to the surprise of many. Unbeknownst to her fans, the singer and actress had managed to keep her entire pregnancy a secret.
Now that the cat’s out of the bag, the Little Mermaid star is openly sharing throwback maternity photos and videos. Despite her openness, not everyone is pleased.

On X, formerly known as Twitter, one user accused the 23-year-old star of lying and gaslighting followers about her pregnancy.
The user wrote, “I don’t think people are mad she hid her pregnancy. People are more so annoyed that she went out of her way to lie and gaslight about it. Then, she shaded people and called them desperate. Now, she wants those same “desperate” people to know every little detail.”
In response to the accusation, Bailey set the record straight, stating, “I never lied or even said anything about it, honey. Making a joke about my nose was the farthest I went.”

Halle’s comment about her “pregnancy nose” traces back to November when Bailey responded to a fan on Snapchat commenting on her “pregnancy nose”. In a video shared on the platform, Bailey expressed her frustration, stating, “Listen, if I see one more person say something about my nose one more time, it’s going to be hell to pay.”
The “Angel” singer welcomed her first child, a son named Halo, with her boyfriend DDG towards the end of 2023. She previously revealed that she kept her pregnancy a secret “to make sure [she] had a beautiful, private healthy time.”
