Bobby Brown, along with his wife, Alicia Etheredge-Brown, attended the annual “A World of Good” gala on September 29, 2023, alongside their family members La’Princia Brown and Cassius Brown. At the event, the couple were honored with The Movement Maker Award in recognition of their work with the Bobbi Kristina Serenity House Foundation.
Brown established the Bobbi Kristina Serenity House Foundation in memory of his late daughter, Bobbi Kristina, who tragically passed away in 2015. The non-profit organization is dedicated to addressing domestic violence, a cause that holds a special place in Bobby’s heart. During the gala, Bobby expressed his profound gratitude for the recognition.
“I am grateful for In a Perfect World. Thank you so much for this honor,” he said. “We started this from the bottom of my heart, just being lonely and sad.”
“[I’m grateful] that I could do something to help them out, to be there for them, to give them a safe haven in their time of need,” Bobby added of his efforts in the organization. “Like I said, I’m very grateful for this. I thank you so much.”
Bobby Brown also shared that his daughter is always with him, displaying a pendant featuring a picture of him and Bobbi Kristina together. “She’s always going to be present,” he said.
On January 31, 2015, at the age of 22, Bobbi Kristina was discovered unconscious in a bathtub in the Georgia– a haunting parallel to her mother Whitney Houston’s death several years earlier. She subsequently passed away in hospice care on July 26, 2015.
Bobbi Kristina was Brown’s only child with Whitney Houston. In total, the musician has fathered seven children. La’Princia is his daughter from a previous relationship with Kim Ward, while Cassius is his son with his wife Alicia Etheredge.
