Dancehall superstar Aidonia and his wife Kimberly Megan recently celebrated the impending birth of their baby boy with a baby shower.
The couple, who tragically lost their 9-year-old son King Khalif Lawrence last year, ensured that their late son played an integral role in the celebration. They incorporated his memory in various ways, from displaying a large-sized photo of him to releasing balloons at the conclusion of the event.
Attendees also wore pinback memorial buttons dedicated to Khalif a touching tribute to the brave young boy who had fought a long battle against cancer.
One of the highlights of the baby shower was the gender reveal, an emotional moment that left everyone beaming with happiness. The couple had kept the gender of their baby a secret until this very moment. As they held a confetti cannon, excitement and nervousness filled the air.
When they triggered the cannon, bright blue confetti filled the atmosphere, confirming that they were expecting a baby boy. Kimberly, dressed in a radiant yellow dress, couldn’t contain her joy as she jumped for joy. Aidonia, holding back tears, gazed up at the sky in remembrance of his late son. In a video clip, he was overheard expressing that Khalif had wished for a brother.
Aidonia, known by his real name Sheldon Lawrence, first shared the news of his wife’s pregnancy in August 2023 at a Chris Brown concert in Kingston, Jamaica. The musician made the surprise announcement during his performance, bringing his pregnant wife onstage to reveal that they were expecting another child.
