Briana Nicole Henry is loving her life as a mom! The General Hospital alum recently took to Instagram to commemorate her daughter Coda’s first birthday.
“Love doesn’t even feel like the appropriate word to encapsulate what having you in my world this past year has felt like,” Briana wrote to her little one. “It feels closest to peace maybe, wholeness, presence,” the celebrity mom added.
“My love for you runs so deep my little [one],” Henry shared with her daughter. “To my bones, in every corner of my being, you can and will find so much adoration for you. On our hardest days and our sweetest, I love you Coda.”
Briana Nicole Henry and her husband, Kris Bowers, announced their expectancy of a child in 2021. Coda made them parents for the first time on February 28, 2022.
“February 28th, my favorite day,” Briana shared in her birthday message to her daughter. “The world is the most beautiful it’s ever been since you got here,” the actress added.
Briana gave an update on how her life as a mom was going six months into her journey as a parent. “My pregnancy journey was full of a lot of surrendering,” the General Hospital star shared with her social media fans.
“Surrender to having to spend most of my pregnancy in the house or in bed with limited activity. Surrender to my depressive episodes because so much of my body felt out of my own control. And ultimately surrender to how this little girl would come into the world the way she needed to when she needed to,” Henry explained.
“I learned a lot about who I am through the pain and sacrifice I had to move through during this journey, and although I’m still healing and still processing all that it took to get her here, I’m so grateful for it all,” the actress told her supporters. “Moms are remarkable,” Briana shared.
“Pregnancy is an act of ultimate love. I look at her and know we were meant to meet this way.”
