“Compassion is being able to understand the seat and the reality that someone else is sitting in; that’s compassion.” Tyrese began his latest video message to Facebook fans with this definition of kindness before going into a tear-jerking monologue about how much he loves and misses his daughter, Shayla.
“Shayla, my first and only pregnancy to this day,” Tyrese said before revealing that he and wife Samantha Lee Gibson are expecting a child. “I got another one on the way,” the all-around entertainer said, “but he’s not here yet.”
Tyrese started going the way of a rant in talking about uninvolved fathers who “have made it bad for the involved fathers.” The celebrity father’s speech, however, quickly took a turn down melancholy lane when he began to reflect on the time spent away from his daughter.
“Don’t take my baby,” the actor said. “This is all I got,” Tyrese added. “I’ve been away from my baby for two months. I just want my baby, and no one’s listening because no one’s in the courtroom.”
The entertainer went on to solicit the support of his friends in show business saying, “I got all these millionaire friends. I got billionaire friends. I’ve been there for you. Why nobody’s there for me?”
