Patrick Mahomes and his then fiance, Brittany, shared the beginning of their parenting journey with fans in mid-2020 as they announced the impending birth of their daughter, Sterling Skye Mahomes. Sterling, born in February 2021, and is now a one-year-old big-sister-in-training as her parents get ready to welcome baby number two! Recently, Patrick Mahomes posed in a maternity shoot with wife Brittany, and the images are heart-warming.
The pair announced the news that baby number two was on the way with a series of photos on Instagram with big-sister-to-be holding a sign that read, “Big sister duties coming soon.” The couple also posted an additional photo of them holding an ultrasound picture. Mahomes captioned the photo, “Round 2! 🤍”
So, do we know what the Kansas Chiefs quarterback and his wife are preparing for? Boy or Girl? Well, one month later after their initial announcement, the couple shared exclusive gender reveal photos with People Magazine, and, IT IS A BOY!
During the event, the pair sported adorable sweatshirts that read, “Baby Mahomes Boy or Girl” with “Boy” circled behind a poster splattered with blue paint.
In an interview with 610 Sports Radio’s The Drive, prior to the birth of his first child, Mahomes discussed how excited he was to welcome his new baby. Mahomes was asked if he preferred the baby to be a boy or a girl, and he replied, “No, I’m just super excited to hopefully have a healthy baby and someone I’ll be able to love for the rest of my life.”
Fast-forward, and the couple now will have one of each, and we are more than positive that Mahomes’ sentiments still ring the same.
