Amina Buddafly celebrated her oldest daughter Cori’s eighth birthday this past weekend. The former Love and Hip Hop (LHH) star gave her little one a moving tribute on Friday (Jul. 29).
“Eight years ago today I learned what real love is,” Amina began her note. “I was going through so much at the time and Cori is the main reason I found back to myself and my happiness,” the celebrity mom told her supporters. “My sweet girl,” Amina further doted. “She is so kind-hearted [and she] makes me proud. Every year around I ask her what she wants for her birthday and she says, ‘I want everybody to be happy.'”
Cori Gunz was born on July 29, 2014. The little one arrived during a tumultuous time in the lives of her parents as Amina Buddafly was trying to work with her then-husband, Peter Gunz, to repair their marriage. Amina ultimately left Peter after the two welcomed their youngest daughter, Bronx. She has been quite busy building a life for herself and her girls in Los Angeles ever since.
“I went to LA previously and looked at places but nothing was set in stone,” Amina revealed during a recent interview. “I had to hit rock bottom and know things were irreparable between Peter and me before leaving. I was unsure on the plane as I traveled from New York to Cali but I knew I had to do it. It was the hardest decision but it was the best decision.”
Cori, Bronx, and Amina have garnered quite the reputation online as singers. Amina often invites her daughters to help render selections to her supporters on TikTok.
“As a single mom and an independent artist, I don’t have spare money to shoot videos,” Amina shared of her music career. “I do a lot of the creative groundwork myself,” the recording artist revealed. “Luckily, I’ve worked with some amazing people who work with me because they believe in me.”
