It looks like Carmelo Anthony finally confirmed that he is the father of Mia Burks’ daughter. Over the weekend, the NBA star attended his daughter’s fifth birthday party.
Genesis Harlo Anthony enjoyed a reptile-themed bash that included a turtle and a snake. Carmelo and Mia also gave their daughter a tiered cake that was decorated with pink icing.
Many could not believe Genesis was such a big girl. It was just two years ago, after all, that the news of Carmelo Anthony fathering a child outside his marriage to La La Anthony began to spread. Mia Burks took to social media to answer a few questions about co-parenting alongside the NBA player.
“Patience,” Mia said when asked about advice for those in co-parenting relationships. Burks also gave a few details about her birthing experience. “It was scary,” Mia shared with her social media fans. “My heart rate kept dropping, then the epidural wore off,” she continued. “[Genesis] ripped me and she did not cry until her foot got pricked.”
Genesis may not have cried until her foot was pricked after birth, but she was quite the active child during the lockdowns caused by the coronavirus pandemic. “GG is bad inside or outside,” Mia mused when asked about how her daughter was adjusting to being indoors for much of 2020. “She is definitely getting cabin fever,” Burks shared. “She will hand me my shoes and coat like, ‘Come on, let’s go.'”

Mia Burks did not believe that Carmelo Anthony would admit to fathering a child outside of his marriage in 2020. The NBA player, however, has seemingly come around after his wife filed for divorce last year.
“That’s ashamed (sic) that he didn’t claim [Genesis] until him (sic) and La La got divorced,” one BCK fan said. Another social media follower wrote, “Holy mackerel, this is a whole Child. “[Where the hell] I been?”
Carmelo Anthony has a son named Kiyan with La La Anthony. Genesis is Carmelo’s second child.
