Eva Marcille experienced complications after giving birth to her second child. The America’s Next Top Model (ANTM) alum shares her story with Hello Beautiful (HB) for the magazine’s “Confidence” issue.
“I donât like the word snapback because I think we give people this idea that if you donât go back to a size that you were previously, [then] thereâs something wrong or you didnât do something right,” Eva tells HB. Marcille gave birth to her second child, Michael Todd Sterling Jr., in 2018, which was approximately four years after her daughter’s birth.
Contrary to her daughter’s birth, which occurred with few complications, Eva experienced challenges during her labor and delivery experience with little Michael. “He was in the hospital for quite some time,” the model shares with HB. Little Michael battled with jaundice during the first few weeks of life.
“I hemorrhaged after having him,” Marcille reveals. “So I had a lot of blood loss,” she explains. “I had gotten into a really bad car accident. So the fact that I am even here and healthy and my baby is to my weight and getting it to any ideal number was the last thing I worried about.”
Eva returned to her workout schedule six weeks after giving birth to her daughter, Marley Rae Sterling. The celebrity mom did not do the same after Michael Jr.’s birth.
“I was fluffier [after my son’s birth] and I was heavier and I was happy as h*ll,” the celebrity mom declares. “Nothing changed with my happiness,” Eva shares.
These days, Marcille is occupied as a mom and entrepreneur who sells products that promote self-care. She has also adopted a Boho style that better compliments the life changes she has undergone.
“I have had three kids. I have been postpartum three times. Your body changes and it shifts,” Eva says of her new fashion sense. “Thereâs something about flowy boho clothes that make you feel beautiful, no matter what youâre doing,” the model says. “You could be bloated or you could be snatched under there, but your beauty isnât in your size, itâs in your flow.”
